Brigitte Bardot rarely appears in public, but recently the former actress visited the Élysée Palace to discuss the work of her charity foundation with the president and his wife.
During the French presidential elections, Bardot urged her fellow citizens not to vote for Emmanuel Macron, believing he lacked compassion. Her concerns were not unfounded — Bardot has long been an advocate for animal rights and is committed to ending cruelty toward animals.
Despite her objections, the French public did not heed Bardot’s warnings, and Macron won the election. Nevertheless, she recently decided to set aside her doubts and meet with the president to discuss urgent issues.
At the Élysée Palace, Bardot, who now walks with the help of crutches, appeared in black pants and a round-neck top, complemented by a choker. Macron opted for a more casual look, wearing jeans and a white shirt.
Judging by the photos, the meeting went well — the 1960s fashion icon, the president, and the first lady were smiling and seemed to be having a friendly conversation. It appears Emmanuel Macron managed to convince Brigitte Bardot of his sincere interest in supporting the Brigitte Bardot Foundation, which she founded.
