Sofia Bogdanova: A Roller Skating Prodigy
Young Russian athlete Sofia Bogdanova captivated the audience with her precise and elegant roller figure skating performance at the 2017 Slalom Open competition in Shanghai. Wearing a dark blue mini-dress, Sofia effortlessly glided between the cones, performing most of her routine on the toes of her skates with grace worthy of a ballerina.
Her outstanding performance earned her victory not only that year but also the following one. Sofia was born on August 6, 2005, in Moscow, Russia. She began her journey with ice figure skating lessons at the age of four, which eventually led to her passion for roller skating.

Despite her natural talent, Sofia’s success came through hard work. She trains five days a week — a serious workload for a girl her age. This level of dedication required sacrificing many typical childhood activities, but it’s clear her efforts are paying off in the form of stunning performances.
